The Town of Milton is resuming the Committee of Adjustment and Consent (COA) meetings in person as of January 26, 2023.  Applicants and interested parties can participate in person at Town Hall, Council Chambers, 150 Mary Street. 


A Minor Variance is being requested to construct an additional residential unit. In order to permit the basement apartment, the Zoning By-law requires a minimum of three parking spaces. The applicant is proposing to provide one parking space in the garage and two parking spaces on the driveway. 

A Minor Variance is being requested to construct a heated extension on the second floor of the dwelling. The Zoning By-law requires that a maximum of 30% lot coverage should be permitted on lots with a lot area lower than 660 square metres. The applicant is seeking relief to the by-law to permit a maximum lot coverage of 34.94%.

A Minor Variance is being requested to construct an additional detached garage to accommodate additional vehicular storage. The proposed detached garage exceeds the maximum gross floor area permitted in the Zoning By-law. 

A Minor Variance is being requested to construct a detached garage to accommodate additional vehicular storage. 

A Minor Variance is being requested to construct a detached garage to accommodate additional vehicular storage and a car lift. 

A Minor Variance is being requested to construct an accessory structure in the back yard of the property. The Zoning By-law requires that accessory buildings have a maximum gross floor area of 10 square metres on properties zoned RMD1. The applicant is seeking relief to the by-law to permit a maximum gross floor area of 15.42 square metres.
